With our motto of being a reliable solution provider, we are now the proud partner for Ginegar as an exclusive distributor in Karnataka.

Why Ginegar Films?

Because Ginegar added the Much required soul for Greenhouse films in India.Earlier Basic Transparent UV Treated films were supplied to cover the Greenhouses, Ginegar introduced films with a 5 layer Technology.

Mulch Films

Sonite reflective mulch films manufactured out of the multi layer blown film technology with high reflective acton and better strength.
Ginegar Embossed Mulch films -: Mulch more.
Ginegar mulch films comes with the cast film technology which makes embossing possible, thereby giving it higher elasticity, strength and durability.
Mulching is an agricultural cropping technique that involves placing organic or synthetic materials on the soil around plants to provide a more favorable environment for growth and production.
Until 20 years ago the farmer had a choice of Black, white or transparent mulch. With the advent of multilayer extrusion, mulch films could be produced in a array of colors, designed to manipulate light, temperature, moisture , repel or attract insects, and some were designed to reflect light back into the parts of the plant where the light does not reach otherwise. With over a decade of experience in Mulch films ,we have introduced the Sonite reflective mulch films with the blown film technology and the Ginegar Embossed mulch films with the cast film technology.

Advantage of using Mulch films

  • Weed control -: Mulch acts as a weed suppressant as it does not allow light , weeds generally cannot survive under the Mulch.
  • Reduced Fertilizer Leaching -: Excess water runs off the impervious mulch. Fertilizer beneath the mulch is not lost to leaching, so fertilizers are efficiently used and not wasted.
  • Earlier yields -: Plastic mulch acts to raise soil temperature, thereby promoting faster crop development and earlier yelds.
  • Saving on water-: Water loss due to evaporation is reduced under the plastic mulch, as a result, more uniform moisture is maintained and frequency may be reduced. MULCHING is not a substitute for irrigation.
  • Cleaner product-: The edible product from a mulched crop is cleaner and less subject to rot because soil is not splashed on the plants or the fruit.
  • Acts as a savior during rainfall and areas with heavy rains by preventing soil erosion, crop damage, helps control of fungal diseases and a must for areas with soil conditions.
  • An earlier crop fetches a better price in the market, mulch films helps towards the same, foe eg-: During cold climates planting becomes difficult, mulch films helps in raising soil temperatures which in turn assists the growth of the roots in the establishment of the plant.

Choosing the right color mulch is very important, as the mulch color affects, the temperatures below and above through the absorption, transmission and reflection of solar energy. This affects the micro environment surrounding the plants.

The three most popular mulch films used in India are..
  • Silver on Black reflective mulch -: The Black color facing the soil, blocking visible light transmission preventing weed germission under the mulch, the silver color facing the top reflects 27% of the UV Radiation and 30% of the visible radiation improving red color in fruits, rejects aphids and thrips, warming up the soil.
  • White on Black -: The white color facing the top reflects 65% of the PAR Radiation, pushing photosynthesis, reflecting 8% of the UV Radiation, cooling the soil more than other colors.
  • Transparent /Solarization mulch -: High temperatures are achieved by using clear/ transparent mulch thereby disinfecting the soil to reduce soil borne diseases and some weeds.

The color factor
Visible light reflected from colord mulch film, can enhance fruit and vegetable growth, strengthen plant stems, encourage fruit to grow lower down on plants, and keep insect away.

Ginegar Mulch films for Orchard.
It is crucial to decide on the color of the mulch before planting, please ask us for more details.
Why Mulch for Orchard?
As high density plantings mature, there is a tendency to loose colour and sugars on fruit in the lower canopy, under average growing conditions, fruit hanging in the lower canopy are not likely to get as much usable light as those fruits hanging in the open in the upper parts of the canopy. Special light reflecting mulches have now been developed that will reflect sinlight from the orchard floor back into the tree canopy, this helps phenomenally as light does not come into the orchard at a angle low enough to colour fruit uniformly.
Have a existing orchard and would like to use Our Mulch films, we have the right solution.
